GINÉS GARRIDO ALART
Vice-Chairman
Ginés is Vice-Chairman of the
board of M&S-Sigma Dos Philippines, Inc. and Vice-President of Sigma
Dos Internacional (Madrid,
Spain).
Ginés began his
marketing research career in the early sixties as a member of the study
group, which developed the first investigative study on social reality in
Latin America, a project funded by the
Ford Foundation. This was followed by a number of responsible positions
in the field of marketing, social and opinion research. Among these were
Director of Social Studies and Planning of Caritas Española, Technical
Director of Unilever Marketing Research Division (Spain), Director of Marketing
and Opinion Research of the SOFRES Group, Director of the Opinion and
Audience Studies of Diario del Pais (PRISA Group) and Director General of
ICP Research (EUROQUEST-MRB).
Ginés has a degree in Sociology from the Pontifical University of
Salamanca. He was a professor of Market Surveys and Public Opinion Polls
in the Universities of Madrid, Salamanca,
Tenerife, Zaragoza and Pamplona
and had published numerous articles on professional journals in various
countries.
He is an active member of the European Society for Marketing and Opinion
Research (ESOMAR) and honorary member of Asociación Española de Estudios
de Mercado y Opinion (AEDEMO) of which he was President from 1985 to
1989. Among others, Ginés is also a member of the American Marketing
Association, the Market Research Society of Great Britain and the World
Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR)

TEODORA M. MARASIGAN
President &
CEO
Dory heads the M&S-Sigma Dos
Philippines
team. With more than 3 decades of marketing and opinion research
experience both as a research supplier and a research user, Dory is one
of the country’s respected research practitioners.
Dory started her
marketing and opinion research career as a researcher at the
International Research Associates (INRA Phils.) where she stayed for 5
years and learned the rudiments of research. Thereafter, she joined Scott
Paper Philippines, Inc. as Marketing Research Manager and after 2 years,
put up her own marketing research company, Macro Data which was later on
incorporated under the name, MACRO, Inc. and eventually, M&S
International Business Consultants, Inc.
Dory was President of the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) in 1999
and the association’s Director for International Affairs in 2000-2001.
This paved the way for her active involvement in the Asia Pacific Marketing
Federation (APMF). Among others, she is also a member of the European
Society for Marketing and Opinion Research (ESOMAR), the Women’s Business
Council Philippines (WBCP), the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (PCCI), and the Philippines-Indonesia Business Council (PIBC).
Dory has a degree in
Chemical Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology and MBA units
from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
She has participated
in a number of local and
international conferences in marketing, marketing and opinion research
and advertising as participant and speaker.
VIRGILIO S. ATIENZA
Vice President
Boy brings to M&S-Sigma Dos
his expertise in the fields of marketing research, media/ advertising and
government service.
In his more than 40
years in the research industry, Boy has distinguished himself in
different multinational corporations here and abroad. His marketing
research career started when he worked as Field Supervisor for
International Research Associates (INRA-Philippines). From INRA he moved
to Colgate-Palmolive Philippines as Assistant.
Research Manager. Later, he joined McCann-Erickson
Philippines
where he served as Research Director and MARPLAN Manager for almost a
decade. The succeeding 9 years of his career were with INRA-Philippines
and INRA- Asia in Hong Kong as Vice
President and General Manager. After Hong Kong, he transferred to Jakarta, Indonesia as Managing
Director of Frank Small and Associates. Upon his return to the Philippines,
Boy joined M&S International Business Consultants as Vice President
for Research. He left marketing research in 2001 to be the Chief-of-Staff
of Cong. Tranquilino Carmona of the First District of Negros Occidental but
staged a comeback in 2005 as Vice President of M&S-Sigma Dos Philippines.
Boy was a Founding
and Charter Member of the Marketing and Opinion Research Society of the
Philippines (MORES) and Chairman of the Board of the Philippine Mass
Communications Research Society (PMCRS). He has also served as Country
Representative of the Media Research Foundation of the Philippines (MRFP)
and Pacific Area Travel Association (PATA) in Hong
Kong. Boy was also a member of the Philippine Marketing
Association (PMA), Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club and the UP Beta Sigma
Fraternity.
Boy has degrees in
Agriculture-Agronomy from the University of the Philippine-Los Baños and
Journalism from Adamson
University.
KRISTOFFER JOSEF NAVA
Account Manager
Toffee is one of the pioneers of
M&S-Sigma Dos Philippines, Inc.
He started his research career in 2000 as a
Research Coordinator of M&S International Business Consultants, Inc.
A year later, he became Research Supervisor.
When M&S International Business
Consultants, Inc. partnered with Sigma Dos in 2003, he assumed the position
of Account Manager.
Toffee has a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration, major in Economics degree from Colegio de San Juan de
Letran.
MARIVIC B. BALANCIO
Data
Processing Manager
Marivic is also a pioneer of M&S
- Sigma Dos.
She joined M&S International Business
Consultants, Inc. in 2001 as Field Interviewer. Later, she was promoted to Field Supervisor and a year after, to
Data Processing Head.
Upon incorporation of M&S-Sigma Dos
Philippines, Inc., she was appointed as Data Processing
Manager, a position she holds up to the present.
Marivic holds a Bachelor of Science in
Statistics degree from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.

COL. BENITO G. VILLAVICENCIO (Ret.)
Consultant - Statistics
Ben started his research career in
1965 as Chief Statistician of Robot Gallup International. When Robot became
Asia Research Organization, Inc. , he served as its Vice President
and Operations Director for 4 years. This was followed by a one-year
stint with International Research Associates (INRA-Philippines) as Vice
President and Research Director. After INRA, he joined Vetronix as Vice
President for Materials Management.
Prior to his marketing research career, Ben was
a faculty member of the Department of Engineering at the Philippine
Military Academy (his Alma Mater). He was also a Professorial Lecturer in
Statistics at Letran Graduate
School and the Ateneo Graduate school of Business (1978-1983).
Ben is a product of the Philippine Military
Academy and the Infantry School
at Fort Benning, Georgia
Upon his return from the US, he pursued his studies at
the Mapua Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Science
in Civil Engineering degree. He also holds a Master of Science in
Statistics from the University of the Philippines.
In terms of membership in professional
organizations, Ben is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni
Association, the Philippine Association of Civil Engineers and the Philippine Statistical Association.
Now in his senior years, Ben is M&S-Sigma
Dos’ regular Statistics
Consultant.
